Impact Operation Boost

1. Status Job Creation:
Currently about 25.000 residents of Curaçao receive earn below poverty standards, most of them living in piteous circumstances. At first glance this does not seem much, but out of an entire population of 130.000 it counts for about 20 percent of the population. This causes serious issues like illicit drug trade, single teenage moms and drop-outs. Most kids are raised by single mothers that are also responsible for the flow of income, leaving many kids with minimal or no care when school wraps up (at noon).

The aim of the project is to start in 2014 a Holiday Park with Round Bottle Holiday Houses where single teenage mothers and youngsters can learn a job and earn a living by running the whole project. We are orientating on some eco ideas for the youngsters like making pavement bricks form recylced plastic or making fuel briquettes from waste. Do you want to know more about this ideas?

3. Status Eco Transporting: Under construction

4. Status Green Innovation:
After decent research Operation Boost will start in the last six months of 2014 a Social Franchise (Enterprise) Pilot Project around Plastic Recycling in Curaçao.

In Curaçao Operation Boost will cooperate with our partner Foundation ‘The Beautiful Colors of Curacao’. The aim of the project is to start a Eco Lodge Holiday Park with Round (Bottle) Holiday Eco Lodges where single teenage mothers and youngsters can learn a job and earn a living by running the whole project.

Example Eco-fields-lodgesThe Round (Bottle) Eco Lodges in our Holiday Park will offer a purely ecological lodging service, with solar power, solar shower and composting toilets. Our rooms will be housed in the local style, a thickly thatched wooden hut of perfectly circular dimensions.

The beautiful bottle walls hide the botlles where they are made of and are a foot thick and have beautiful colors. The grass roof, offering fantastic natural insulation for day-time coolness and night-time snugness. We are a quiet and refreshing alternative to the noisy grubby hotels in town and other places, but unlike other lodges in the area we offer good value and perfect service for less money!

Our lodge is the authentic local cultural experience. It will be built by the local youngsters and teenage mothers employing their time-honored traditional craftsmanship and using local natural materials and as said plastic bottles to clean up their own environment. An unbelievable story in itselfs.

Each room is furnished with cultural wooden style beds, bedsides table and chairs and wash basin. Mosquito nets are provided and the rooms are regularly fumigated with the smoke of local plants, which gives you day and night a wonderfull local experience.
